Hermitage Golf Course

Set on 300 acres of natural Tennessee wetlands along the Cumberland River in Old Hickory, just 20 minutes from downtown Nashville, Hermitage Golf Course has served as a golf and event destination since 1986. The property is anchored by two 18-hole courses — the President's Reserve, designed by Denis Griffiths and stretching to 7,200 yards, and the General's Retreat, designed by Gary Roger Baird and a former host of the LPGA Sara Lee Classic — and is known for more than 40 Scottish Blackfaced sheep that roam the grounds year-round as a nod to golf's Scottish origins. For weddings and private events, the grounds offer a range of spaces built around the same river and course views: an open-ceiling Pavilion with market string lights and a stone fireplace, a landscaped Garden ceremony site, an indoor Banquet Hall, and The Gallery for buffet-style receptions. Hermitage Golf Course prepares all catering in-house and also offers on-site lodging in eight cottages and two lodges for guests staying to celebrate or play a round.
