HollyHock Hill Restaurant

Hollyhock Hill has been a cornerstone of Indianapolis dining since 1928, when V.D. Vincent and his wife began serving dinners at their country cottage in Northern Marion County — naming the restaurant after the hollyhocks that bloomed on the grounds. What started as an intimate 30-seat operation has grown steadily through multiple generations of ownership into a 150-seat landmark that remains one of a very few family-style restaurants still in operation in the United States. The restaurant is known for its classic Indiana fried chicken and home-style cuisine, served in the tradition of the original recipes and techniques that have defined it for nearly a century. Guests travel from all 50 states and internationally to dine here, drawn by the county-style cooking and the warmth of the setting. Private dining is available for groups of 20 or more, with flexible menu options for seated celebrations, corporate lunches, and family gatherings. The kitchen accommodates group minimums and custom entrée selections to suit the occasion.
