Hye Meadow Winery

Hye Meadow Winery and Vineyard sits on 42 oak-studded acres in historic Hye, Texas, where a modern tasting room and three outdoor decks look out over the Hill Country landscape. The winery crafts Mediterranean-based red wines and a range of whites from 100% Texas grapes, using techniques developed by winemaker Mike Batek, who studied viticulture at Texas Tech before opening the winery with his wife, Denise. Guests can settle in for a tasting on the patio or beneath the oaks, pair a glass with paninis and artisan cheese plates from the on-site kitchen, and let kids explore the Oak Grove area under supervision — the winery welcomes children and leashed dogs throughout its outdoor spaces. Hye Meadow also hosts recurring gatherings such as Kite Fest and the Grape Stomp & Tour, along with seasonal themed wine parties. Its 2020 Estate Montepulciano was named Best Texas Wine at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo International Wine Competition.
