Il Palio

Il Palio by Margherita Aloi brings an authentic Tuscan dining experience to Shelton, Connecticut. Founded by Bob Scinto with a vision of "extraordinary dining in a true Tuscan setting," the restaurant draws its name and spirit from the famous medieval horse race held twice yearly in Siena's Piazza del Campo. The exterior features hand-carved sculptures depicting that storied race, while inside, frescoed walls, imported marble floors, and golden lighting create a richly detailed Old World atmosphere. Chef Margherita Aloi leads the kitchen with a commitment to authentic regional Italian cooking, with dishes crafted to highlight the depth and nuance of traditional flavors. The venue offers private event services including custom wine dinners, corporate events, buffets, banquets, and culinary classes — suited to weddings, rehearsal dinners, anniversaries, milestone parties, and corporate gatherings alike. A dedicated events director oversees private bookings from planning through execution.
