Indiana War Memorial Museum

The Indiana War Memorial Plaza Historic District encompasses 25 acres in downtown Indianapolis, anchored by a 30,000-square-foot museum, three parks, four fountains, and numerous monuments dedicated to veterans. No state has a city with more monuments honoring veterans than Indiana's capital, and the district stands as a nationally significant historic landmark. The memorial complex offers a range of indoor and outdoor event spaces for ceremonies, receptions, meetings, conferences, and other gatherings. Interior venues include the 500-seat Pershing Auditorium, the Woodfill Boardroom, Spruance and Shoup Halls, the Grand Lobby, and the West Foyer. The outdoor grounds — including the American Legion Mall, Veterans Memorial Plaza, University Park, and surrounding memorials — can accommodate everything from intimate private events to large public festivals. Situated at 55 East Michigan Street in the heart of Indianapolis, the Indiana War Memorial is managed by the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs and is available for rental by reservation through the on-site Events Coordinator.
