Originally built in 1886 and reconstructed into its current stick-style form in 1893, the 32,000-square-foot building overlooks Humboldt Bay and carries more than 138 years of history — from its origins as a frontier hotel and restaurant to a storied Prohibition era complete with hidden passages. The property operates as the Inn at 2nd & C, a 23-room boutique hotel, alongside Phatsy Kline's Parlor Lounge, a craft cocktail bar and dining room with weekly live events. The Grand Theatre Ballroom serves as the centerpiece event space — a soaring, ornate room with Victorian architecture suited to ceremonies, receptions, and large celebrations — while Phatsy Kline's accommodates intimate cocktail hours, rehearsal dinners, and private buyouts.
