Inn at Pleasant Lake

The Inn at Pleasant Lake is a historic country inn and event venue set on nearly five acres of lakefront property in New London, New Hampshire. Originally built in 1790 as a private farmhouse, the inn opened to guests in 1868 and has operated as a hospitality destination for more than 150 years. The property sits at the edge of Pleasant Lake beneath Kearsarge Mountain, offering lake views and access to the grounds across all seasons. The inn's dining anchor is The Oak Room, a 72-seat chophouse focused on American steakhouse cuisine featuring Certified Humane Natural Black Angus Beef, fresh seafood, and locally sourced ingredients, with an outdoor stone courtyard patio open for summer dining. For private events, the inn accommodates indoor gatherings of up to 80 guests and outdoor receptions for up to 200, including weddings, rehearsal dinners, and retreat programming. A full-service approach — custom menus through an executive chef, in-house bar, and event coordination — runs through every event type the property offers.
