Inn at Tern Lake

The Inn at Tern Lake is a family-owned bed and breakfast event venue set on 9 private acres in Moose Pass, Alaska, on the Kenai Peninsula. Built in 2001 and situated along the Seward Highway — 90 miles south of Anchorage and 36 miles from Seward — the property sits at the edge of Tern Lake with panoramic views of the Kenai Mountains and the surrounding Chugach National Forest. Innkeepers Jeff and Rose Hetrick have called Moose Pass home for over 32 years and have hosted weddings and private events at the property for over 15 years. The inn offers in-house catering alongside four guest rooms, each with private baths and mountain or pond views, making it well suited for intimate celebrations and family retreats. Ceremonies and receptions take place against a backdrop of snowcapped peaks, old-growth spruce forest, and the calm waters of the on-site pond. The 9-acre grounds include nature trails, gardens, a spacious sun deck, and wildlife-viewing areas where guests may spot salmon, Dall sheep, and native birds.
