Intervale Center

The Intervale Center sits on 180 Intervale Road in Burlington, Vermont, a floodplain landscape along the Winooski River that the nonprofit has shaped into farmland, gardens, and public trails. At the heart of the property is a rustic barn dating to the 1860s, renovated and set on two landscaped acres with gardens, a willow tree, and a frog pond, about a mile from downtown Burlington. The Community Barn hosts weddings and celebrations from mid-May through mid-October, seating up to 110 guests indoors or up to 200 with an outdoor tent. Tables, chairs, a portable PA system, bistro lighting, and on-site staff support are included with the rental, and a charcoal grill is available for licensed caterers. The Intervale Center itself is open to the public 365 days a year, with recreational trails running along the Winooski River toward the Ethan Allen Homestead for biking, birding, walking, and winter skiing. Proceeds from barn rentals support the organization's work building a local food economy in Burlington.
