Iris Inn & Cabins

Perched atop a 19-acre Blue Ridge Mountain property in Waynesboro, Virginia, Iris Inn overlooks the Shenandoah Valley and has welcomed travelers since 1991, when the original lodge opened with a Great Room and six guest rooms. In 2013, the property expanded with six luxury cabins built into the hillside, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, private hot tubs on screened-in decks, in-room fireplaces, and full kitchens. The grounds also include a spa, walking trails, a sunset-viewing lawn with fire pits, and a three-story observation tower for mountain views. Iris Inn hosts intimate micro weddings designed for up to 25 guests, with complete rental of all six rooms in the main lodge available to give a wedding party privacy and exclusivity. Couples can choose between ceremony sites beneath the property's oaks or in indoor spaces, and the inn's culinary team prepares dining tailored to each event. The property also accommodates business retreats and can be rented in its entirety for family reunions, corporate gatherings, and other special events. The inn sits close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive, with easy access to area wineries, hiking trails including Humpback Rock and Crabtree Falls, and the historic homes of four former U.S. presidents.
