Joe Wheeler State Park

Joe Wheeler State Park is a 2,550-acre resort park set along the shores of Wheeler Lake in Rogersville, Alabama. Part of the Alabama State Parks system, the park combines natural lakefront scenery with a full-service lodge, championship golf, and dedicated convention and event facilities — offering a versatile destination for weddings, corporate meetings, and private gatherings. The lodge houses four distinct indoor event spaces ranging from the intimate Cedar Room, which seats up to 30 guests, to the combined Convention Center configuration that accommodates up to 300 guests for a banquet or 500 in theater seating. The River Room features a stone fireplace and views of First Creek, with direct access to a lakeside patio for outdoor ceremony or cocktail hour use. The Cypress Room seats up to 150 for a banquet and includes a portable dance floor. Each space offers flexible setup options, and the full-service catering team provides menus ranging from hors d'oeuvres to full buffets. Beyond the meeting and event rooms, Joe Wheeler State Park offers resort accommodations — lodge rooms, lakeside cottages, and cabins — that allow guests and wedding parties to stay on-site. The 18-hole championship golf course, full-service marina, sandy beach, and disc golf course round out the resort amenities available to event guests.
