Josephine Butler Parks Center

The Josephine Butler Parks Center is a mansion in Washington, DC, built in the Renaissance revival style. This structure previously housed the Hungarian and Brazilian embassies, however it has subsequently been repurposed into an Earth Embassy. Parks & People has funded the project, which is registered as a Nonprofit Center for Shared Space. The group Parks & People was founded over 20 years ago by community and park leaders, as well as organizations. They are now proponents of environmental causes. They are also leaders in restoration efforts and social justice campaigns. George Oakley Totten Jr. constructed this home.
