The Junior League of Memphis's Community Resource Center (CRC) is a historic Italian-Mediterranean residence in Memphis, built between 1919 and 1921 as a home for local cotton buyer C.R. Boyce. Designed by the architectural firm of Walk C. Jones, Sr. and Max Furbringer, the stucco building sits on sculpted lawns surrounded by oaks and gardens, accented by two gazebos and a large fountain. It was purchased by the Junior League of Memphis in 1991 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Inside, a grand hallway runs the length of the first floor, rising to a landing marked by a Palladian window, with detailed cornices, moldings, and trim throughout. The CRC offers both indoor and outdoor space for weddings, luncheons, and corporate parties, with room for events of many sizes and levels of formality, from a lawn wedding to an intimate luncheon in the home's parlor. The Junior League of Memphis also makes meeting space at the CRC available at no charge to local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, subject to availability and usage guidelines.
