Kaleideum Downtown

Kaleideum is an experiential learning museum in downtown Winston-Salem, North Carolina, formed from the 2016 merger of the Children's Museum of Winston-Salem and SciWorks. The museum consolidated into its current home at 120 West Third Street in February 2024, bringing together interactive STEAM exhibits, the Digital Dome, and a rooftop adventure area across five stories and nearly 70,000 square feet. For private events, Kaleideum accommodates gatherings ranging from intimate groups of 20 to celebrations of up to 2,000 guests across multiple distinctive spaces. The open-air Rooftop Terrace offers sweeping views of the Winston-Salem skyline, the Digital Dome provides an immersive setting for VIP receptions and presentations, and the exhibition halls — with their rotating interactive exhibits — create an engaging backdrop for receptions and corporate events. The Storytelling exhibit's built-in stage makes it a natural fit for events with live entertainment or a DJ. Rentals include event staffing, setup and breakdown, tables, chairs, cocktail tables, a venue coordinator, and access to exhibits throughout the museum. Catering, bar service, décor, audio-visual support, and museum docents are available as add-ons through Kaleideum's event management partner, Sterling Spaces.
