Kathryn Albertson Park is a 41-acre special use park situated near downtown Boise, Idaho, designed to provide an attractive natural habitat for resident and migratory birds and wildlife. Since opening in 1989, the park has offered wide, paved footpaths, overlooks, meadows, and a boardwalk — making it a distinctive setting for outdoor ceremonies along the Boise River Greenbelt. Two reservable gazebos serve as the park's event venues. The Rookery carries a piece of local history: its red tile roof is the original covering from the very first Albertsons supermarket, which opened in Boise in 1939, while its supporting beams came from a historic airport hangar once visited by Charles Lindbergh. The Eyrie, named after a bird of prey's nest, features stone and beam construction, a rustic cedar roof, stone benches, and sandstone fountains overlooking a pond. Both structures accommodate up to 150 guests and are available for formal ceremonies.
