Kedron Valley Inn

Kedron Valley Inn dates to 1822, when a store built for gristmill workers grew into the community hub that became one of Vermont's oldest inns. Its foundation and framework have stood largely unchanged for more than 185 years, with the 1828 Main House reflecting Federal Style architecture and the 1848 National Hall once serving as a gathering space for dances, concerts, parties, debates, and political meetings. Set in South Woodstock Village in Vermont's Green Mountains, the property blends a Historic Building with a Log Lodge, dark wood furnishings, and antique decor, all surrounded by grounds that include a swimming and fishing pond. The inn hosts private dining in cozy historic rooms located in what was once the inn's ballroom, accommodating up to 20 guests and operated today by the on-site Ransom Tavern restaurant. Combined with its long history as a community gathering place, the inn offers guests an intimate, historic setting for private occasions.
