Kentuck Knob is a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed house built in 1956, set just below the crest of a mountain in the Laurel Highlands of Fayette County, Pennsylvania. Built on a hexagonal module from native sandstone and North Carolina red cypress, the house exemplifies Wright's Usonian philosophy, with built-in furniture, indirect lighting, and cantilevered overhangs that blend the interior with the surrounding landscape. Positioned 2,050 feet above sea level, the property looks out over the Youghiogheny River Gorge and the Laurel Highlands beyond its back patio. Kentuck Knob was named a National Historic Landmark in 2000 and remains privately owned and maintained by the Palumbo family. For private events, the Pavilion serves as the venue's primary space, hosting wedding ceremonies and receptions, private dinners, and group gatherings for up to 60 seated guests or 80 total. The terrace and its pond suit cocktail parties and buffets, while the valley overlook offers a scenic backdrop for wedding ceremonies. The grounds also include sculpture installations and a wooded Woodland Walk trail, adding to the setting for guests attending an event at the property.
