La Jolla Woman's Club

The La Jolla Woman's Club is a one-block walk from the beach in the heart of La Jolla Village. The club is a magical venue for any special occasion, with its exquisite private gardens, historic Irving Gill structure, and ocean view. Weddings, non-profit fundraisers, receptions, talks, banquets, holiday parties, life celebrations, retreats, and educational seminars are all held at the club. Weddings The ceremony garden in the south is beautiful, with colorful plantings and a decorative bridge. You can face the European style fountain or the old English oak tree in the front ceremonial garden. Floral balls or lanterns are commonly hung from the tree during rituals facing the tree. A third option is to face the ancient building's front doors, with the ceremony taking place in front of the famed arched arches. Our brides and grooms enjoy the use of our exclusive ladies and gentleman's lounges to relax with their attendants prior to the ceremony, whether it takes place on the adjacent seaside or within one of our gardens. Cocktail hour is popular on the North arbor-covered terrace, which has an ocean view. While guests enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, many couples prefer to walk to the beach for photos before returning to the club in time to make their spectacular entry. The main ballroom inside the clubhouse contains hardwood floors for dancing and a raised built-in stage for a band or DJ. Two adjacent parlors open into the ballroom and can be used to increase seating capacity or serve a buffet. Your guests will love taking a break outside on our covered veranda, on the ocean-view terrace, or wandering around the gardens, as you have exclusive use of the whole clubhouse and grounds for your wedding. Private Parties The stage of the club is ideal for lectures, discussions, auctions, and entertainment. Your off-site meeting can be held in the ballroom.
