La Posada de Santa Fe sits on six acres in downtown Santa Fe, steps from the historic Plaza — the only resort in the city's historic center. The property's story begins in 1882, when merchant Abraham Staab completed a three-story French Second Empire mansion on the site for his family and hosted Santa Fe's social elite. In the 1930s, R.H. and Eulalia Nason surrounded the original structure with Pueblo Revival adobe casitas and named the property La Posada, meaning "inn" or "resting place." The resort is now a member of Historic Hotels of America, the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. For events, La Posada offers more than 4,500 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor space across a dozen distinct rooms and grounds. The Montana Ballroom — available as a single hall or divided into two — seats up to 150 guests for banquets and accommodates 225 for cocktail receptions. The combined Lawn and Patio spans 5,840 square feet and welcomes up to 410 guests for outdoor gatherings. Intimate ceremonies find their home in the Library, Salon, and Rose Room, each housed within the historic Staab Mansion. An in-house catering team and dedicated event staff support planning from first inquiry through the close of the event.
