La Quinta Country Club is a member-owned private club set in the Coachella Valley at the foot of the Santa Rosa Mountains in La Quinta, California. Founded in 1959 with a championship golf course designed by Lawrence M. Hughes, the club was dedicated by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1960 and has hosted The American Express (formerly the Bob Hope Classic) on the PGA Tour for more than six decades. The 35,000-square-foot clubhouse was reconstructed in 2009 and refreshed in 2023 with interiors inspired by a refined "Santa Barbara" aesthetic, offering panoramic views of the golf course, gardens, and surrounding mountain ranges. The club has earned Elite Status from the Distinguished Club Award, placing it among the top 3% of private clubs globally. Dining options include a casual grill, elegant dining rooms, a lounge and bar, private dining spaces, patio seating, and the Chef's Table — each available for private event hosting alongside weddings, private parties, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, and other celebrations. The club accommodates a broad range of social gatherings and is available for event inquiries through its dedicated events team, led by Clubhouse Manager Tom Emison, reachable at 760-972-4892.
