Lafayette Theatre

Lafayette Theatre opened in 1938 as an urban cinema in downtown Lafayette, Indiana, and has since been preserved as one of the city's anchor arts and entertainment venues. The City of Lafayette purchased the theater to stabilize its use, and it is now operated by Long Center for the Performing Arts as part of a performing arts complex serving Greater Lafayette. The theater hosts live performances, concerts, comedy, and a range of entertainment programming in the heart of downtown. Its original Art Deco exterior — including the marquee and facade — remains intact, while the interior has been updated to meet the needs of modern productions and events.
