Lake Morey Resort

Lake Morey Resort is a family-owned resort set in the Vermont hills above the Connecticut River, on the shores of Lake Morey in Fairlee. Now operated by the third generation of the Avery family, who have owned the property since 1972, the resort traces its roots to 1905, when its original hotel building was constructed alongside a golf course developed a few years earlier. The resort has hosted weddings and celebrations for more than 50 years, pairing lakefront event rooms with garden and lakeside outdoor spaces for ceremonies and receptions. Its indoor venues, including the Terrace Ballroom, Morey Room, and Waterlot Room, each include a built-in bar and dance floor with views of the lake, while outdoor sites such as Mapleview Gardens and Hemlock Gardens offer gazebos, gardens, and lawns along the water. Guest rooms and lakeside cottages allow wedding parties to stay on site, and the resort's classically trained chefs and event staff support receptions from planning through the event itself.
