Lincklaen House is a historic inn and event venue in Cazenovia, New York, recognized as the oldest grand hotel in Central New York. Built in 1835 and opened in 1836, the property stands as a landmark of the village that John Lincklaen of the Holland Land Company established. Over the decades, the inn hosted distinguished visitors including President Grover Cleveland and John D. Rockefeller. A 1916 fire prompted a restoration that introduced the finely carved woodwork and moldings still visible throughout the building today. The inn's 23 individually designed guest rooms preserve the character of its 19th-century origins, set within locally made brick construction with distinctive chimneys and broad front entrance steps. For events, Lincklaen House accommodates gatherings of up to 140 guests across a range of formats — weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate meetings and conferences, cocktail parties, holiday gatherings, luncheons, and private celebrations. In-house catering and full-service restaurants are available on site, and the events team works with clients to customize menus and room configurations for each occasion.
