Maderas Golf Club

Maderas Golf Club is a championship golf and event venue set on dramatic terrain in Poway, California — in the hills of northern San Diego County. Established in 1999 and designed by Johnny Miller and Robert Muir Graves, the 18-hole course features rocky terrain and significant elevation changes across five sets of tee boxes. The club has earned consistent recognition, including placement on Golf Digest's America's 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses and a ranking of 4th in Top Courses California. The property includes five distinct event spaces accommodating gatherings from 50-person seated dinners to receptions of up to 300 guests. The Del Lago Ballroom seats up to 300 with Tuscan-inspired décor, wrought iron chandeliers, a built-in sound system, A/V equipment, WiFi, and a dance floor. The Del Lago Garden provides an open-air setting with panoramic golf course views for up to 150 guests. Additional spaces — the Member's Lounge, Sunset Rock and Patio, and The Grille — offer more intimate options with private patios, built-in bars, fireplaces, and market lighting. On-site catering covers everything from breakfast and brunch through plated and buffet dinners, with customizable menus for weddings, corporate events, banquets, and holiday gatherings. The venue hosts only one wedding per day, and a senior catering and wedding specialist supports event planning from inquiry through day-of coordination.
