Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory

Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory is an indoor living ecosystem in South Deerfield, Massachusetts, home to over 4,000 free-flying butterflies representing more than 70 tropical and native species. Alongside the butterflies, guests encounter dart frogs, tortoises, koi ponds, and a variety of other wildlife — creating a natural environment unlike any conventional event venue. For private events, Magic Wings offers several distinct spaces: the glass-enclosed Conservatory for ceremonies of up to 100 guests; the Atrium, a larger reception area also accommodating up to 100; and two more intimate rooms, the North Room and the Monarch, each suited for gatherings of up to 35. Private events and weddings are held after 5pm Wednesday through Sunday, and on select Mondays and Tuesdays. Wedding packages from 20 to 100 guests include in-house catering by head Chef Sean, planning meetings, day-of coordination, and the option for a butterfly release during the ceremony. Smaller celebrations — showers, birthday parties, and private gatherings — can be arranged through a dedicated package that includes tables, chairs, and a complimentary butterfly release.
