Maison Soule & The Paris Room occupies a 22-room historic mansion at 720 Saint Louis Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans, just steps from Bourbon Street. Built beginning in 1829 by French emigre Pierre Soule — a Louisiana U.S. Senator and criminal lawyer who died in the mansion's third-floor bedroom in 1870 — the property has served as an elegant manor, an orphan asylum, a jazz parlor, and a family-owned restaurant over nearly two centuries. The Paris Room, on the mansion's second floor, is available for private events of all kinds. Its ballroom features 18-foot ceilings, a private street balcony, a garden terrace, a spiral staircase, a full private bar, and a commercial kitchen. The space accommodates 10 to 80 guests for seated events, up to 125 for standing receptions, and up to 300 guests for an exclusive facility buyout. Outside catering is approved as an option, and the room comes equipped with a dedicated sound system and HD television.
