Founded in 1923, the Mandarin Community Club is a historic nonprofit organization occupying a building that traces its roots to the Mandarin School, founded by author Harriet Beecher Stowe in 1872. Located in Jacksonville, Florida, the club has preserved and maintained three historic properties while serving as a gathering place for the surrounding community for over a century. The Main Hall offers approximately 1,500 square feet of event space with hardwood floors and seating for 80 to 115 guests, making it well-suited for weddings, showers, birthday receptions, and corporate gatherings. The hall comes stocked with tables, 100-plus folding chairs, and access to an adjacent catering kitchen with full appliances. For outdoor celebrations, the Harriet Beecher Stowe Pavilion is a covered open-air venue with overhead fans, day-to-evening lighting, and a centuries-old oak tree as a natural backdrop. The facility is wheelchair accessible with ample on-site parking and accommodates a range of event types, from intimate family celebrations to organizational meetings and corporate events.
