Michilimackinac State Park

Michilimackinac State Park is Michigan's second state park, established in 1909 at the tip of the Lower Peninsula along the Straits of Mackinac. Set where Lake Huron meets Lake Michigan, the park frames sweeping views of the Mackinac Bridge, the Upper Peninsula, and Mackinac Island — a backdrop few Michigan venues can match. The park encompasses two of the region's most significant historic landmarks: Colonial Michilimackinac, an 18th-century fur-trade fort reconstructed on its original site, and Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse, a castle-like structure erected in 1892 on the Straits shore. Each draws from more than three centuries of history at this crossroads of Great Lakes waterways. For wedding ceremonies, three distinct settings are available — the Bridgeview Gazebo on the park's sandy shoreline, the Church of Ste. Anne de Michilimackinac within Colonial Michilimackinac's palisade walls, and the grounds of Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse beneath the bridge. All three venues accommodate up to 100 guests and are available from early May through October.
