Misty Mountain Event Barn

We were delighted when our daughter, Kellan, got engaged in 2011. It had always been her dream to have her wedding on our farm, and we wanted to make that dream a reality for her. So that's how it started... We seeded and mowed the pasture on a consistent basis throughout 2012. Tents were erected. We rented everything from chairs and tables to linens, porta-potties, generators, and flood lights. We constructed a wedding arch, brought in a cattle trailer load of mums, and spent weeks decorating and preparing the venue for the big event. It was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful! We were all exhausted by the time the wedding day arrived. We also realized that we would have to dismantle everything, return the rentals, and clean up the following day, which added to our stress. It was at this point that the concept of an event venue was conceived. The following six years, every time my wife and I would attend a wedding at a venue, we would say, "I think we could do this." Everyone's favorite venue was different and beautiful in its own way. In fact, we even made mental notes of all the things we liked best about each venue; however, the idea didn't become a reality until Lydia, our "daughter," tied the knot in February 2018. "Let's do this," we said as we walked away. As a result, the planning process began in March of 2018. Construction finally started in October of last year. The team jumped on board with our builder and worked together to create what is now a beautiful 6000 sq. ft. main event barn that is both heated and air-conditioned. A full-service commercial kitchen, ADA-compliant bathrooms, and a loft with couple's suites are all included in the rental price. In addition, there is a covered veranda with casual seating, a patio/fire pit area, an elegant outdoor wedding ceremony setting complete with seating and fireplaces, a pond and fountains for photos, a gazebo for sheltering from the elements, and ample parking. So, at long last, our dream of providing a space for you to realize your ambitions has become a reality. Wedding packages include access to the venue on the day before and the day of your wedding, as well as on the day of your reception. At no additional charge, a rehearsal dinner can be held in the ballroom.
