The National Hispanic Cultural Center occupies a 20-acre campus in Albuquerque's historic Barelas neighborhood, dedicated to the preservation, promotion, and advancement of Hispanic culture, arts, and humanities. A division of the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs, the center presents exhibitions, performing arts, lectures, and educational programming year-round through its art museum, Roy E. Disney Center for Performing Arts, and history and literary arts facilities. For private events, the campus offers an exceptionally diverse collection of indoor and outdoor rental spaces — from the expansive Virginia & Edward Lujan Plaza Mayor, which accommodates up to 2,000 guests, to the intimate Torreón, home to North America's largest concave fresco and suited to gatherings of 20. Between these poles, planners can choose from a flexible ballroom, a New Mexican-style salon with hardwood floors and a stucco fireplace, two mid-size theaters, multiple lobby and corridor spaces, and a park with three distinct outdoor areas. On-site catering is available through partnerships with Pop Fizz and La Fonda del Bosque.
