Nona Lani Cottages

Nona Lani Cottages is a family-owned property on two acres in Kihei, Maui, that has welcomed guests and hosted events since 1971. Founded by David and Winona "Nona" Kong — native Maui residents who envisioned sharing their island with visitors — the property began with four cottages in 1971 and expanded under five decades of Kong 'Ohana stewardship. Nona's passion for gardening transformed the grounds into a lush tropical setting, and the property takes its name — "Nona Lani," meaning "Heavenly Nona" — from her. For events, the cottage grounds accommodate up to 75 guests in an outdoor tropical garden setting with mature trees, plumeria, and bistro lighting overhead. The venue offers intimate wedding packages blending casual Hawaii style with thoughtful event infrastructure: tables, chairs, bistro lighting, private on-site parking with attendant, two outdoor guest restrooms, on-site event supervisor, and full setup and breakdown are all included. Events conclude by 9:00 PM in keeping with neighborhood harmony and local noise ordinances.
