Northern Outdoors

Northern Outdoors is a year-round adventure resort in The Forks, Maine, set along the Kennebec River in the western Maine wilderness. Celebrating more than 50 years in business, the resort hosts weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate retreats, and private celebrations alongside its full calendar of outdoor adventures. The Main Lodge serves as the primary indoor event venue, accommodating up to 130 seated guests beneath open timber framing and a soaring vaulted ceiling. A stone fireplace anchors the space for winter ceremonies, while the hardwood floors lend themselves to dancing at receptions. Rental of the Main Lodge includes access to the on-site Kennebec River Pub and Brewery, which operates as an extension of the event space. For outdoor ceremonies, the property offers settings along the Kennebec River and at Martin Pond. On-site lodging across a range of cabin styles means guests can make a full weekend of the celebration.
