Northshire Civic Center

Set on Hunter Park Road in Manchester Center, Vermont, the Northshire Civic Center is a nonprofit civic center built around Riley Rink, home to hockey, figure skating, and learn-to-skate programs each winter. In spring the rink surface gives way to turf for field sports and training, and by summer the grounds transform again into what the venue calls Southern Vermont's premier festival venue. Every July, the property hosts the two-day Dead of Summer Music Festival, and each year it is also home to the three-day Green Mountain Bluegrass & Roots festival (GMBR), which draws more than 3,000 people to camp, dance, and take in performances from regional artists. The Northshire Civic Center also welcomes craft fairs and community gatherings on its grounds throughout the season. Just minutes from downtown Manchester and within easy reach of Bromley and Stratton mountains, the Northshire Civic Center describes itself as more than an ice rink or event venue — a community gathering place where neighbors, families, and visitors come together to play, compete, and celebrate throughout the year.
