The Obama Presidential Center is a vibrant community hub, economic anchor, and beacon of democracy on Chicago’s South Side. How much does it cost to rent the venue?
Meeting and Event space rental fees vary based on the proposed space and dates. For further information, please submit a Request for Pricing.
What is included in the venue rental cost?
Included in the venue rental fee will be basic security, setup and breakdown of event spaces, and access to chairs and tables for associated guest counts per space. We are still determining exact quantities as well as style of tables and chairs.
What is the venue capacity?
Our venue has 27 unique meeting and event spaces ranging from 400 to 12,400 square feet, or 4 - 999 attendees, to accommodate a variety of event types.
Does the venue have a curfew for events?
The hours of operation for events vary per building; however, all events will have an end time of 11 p.m. with a possible extension to 12 a.m. We will entertain further extensions on a case by case basis.
Does the venue have on-site A/V equipment?
A/V for each space is still being determined. Use of equipment will require additional technicians to be staffed based on recommendations from the Director of Facilities.

Patrick joined the Obama Presidential Center July of 2023 and is committed to developing an event program that embodies the core values of the Foundation—Inspire, Empower, and Connect. His experience at Boka Restaurant Group and Navy Pier’s east end honed his ability to create unforgettable events and build strong relationships with clients. Patrick is deeply engaged in the Chicago arts community and dedicates time to serving on the volunteer board of Let It Be Us.
