OKC Farmers Public Market

Established in 1928 by entrepreneur John J. Harden on the site of the former Delmar Gardens Amusement Park, the OKC Farmers Public Market is Oklahoma City's oldest event venue and the only one in the city listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The ground floor originally housed fresh produce vendors, a bakery, candy store, and pharmacy, while the upper level's Market Garden Ballroom hosted entertainment ranging from roller skating and boxing matches to concerts by Hank Williams, Count Basie, and Bob Wills. Burt and Jody McAnally purchased and restored the six-acre property in 2002, beginning over two decades of renovation. The Ballroom is available for all-day rental from 9:00 AM to midnight and accommodates up to 500 guests. It features the largest wooden dance floor in Oklahoma, 30-foot ceilings, a 1930s Art Deco bar, and a mezzanine level known as the Majestic Mezzanine — a setting suited to weddings and receptions that want historic character alongside room to gather a crowd. Rental includes tables and black garden chairs, a stage for ceremony or entertainment, a wedding arch or arbor, a large bridal suite with a private bathroom, four hours of bar service with bartenders, event security, and cleaning. Couples may bring in their own catering vendors under the venue's open catering policy, and add-on services include custom lighting, AV, and PA production, plus a day-of event coordinator. Ample on-site parking is available.
