Old Irish Bed and Breakfast, Wedding & Events Center

The Old Irish Inn is a peaceful, adults-only retreat in Denton, Texas, set on the banks of a small lake beneath canopied 100-year-old pecan and oak trees, less than 10 minutes from the University of North Texas and about 60 minutes from Downtown Dallas. What began as an alpaca ranch expanded into a bed and breakfast in 2012, and the property added its wedding venue in July 2013. Guests staying in one of the property's five named cabins — Valentino, Nancee Gee, Capote, Greystoke, and Finnegan — can rock on a private porch, wander the grounds to meet the resident alpacas, donkeys, chickens, and ducks, or watch the geese, catfish, and fountains on the lake. The grounds also include meditation areas, walking paths, and a hot tub at the ranch house, along with private, fenced spaces where guests can book a massage. The Old Irish Inn has earned a TripAdvisor Travelers Choice Award and reports more than 500 five-star reviews from guests.
