Old Island Restoration Foundation

In 1960, the Old Island Restoration Foundation was established as a 501 (c3) nonprofit corporation committed to the preservation and promotion of Key West's historic architecture and cultural heritage. The foundation is raising funds through private donations and memberships from individuals, businesses, and public agencies in order to preserve and maintain the Oldest House Museum and Gardens in South Florida, to provide innovative programming, cultural events, and grants for significant and worthy historical restoration projects in Key West. The Oldest House Museum & Garden provides the ideal location for your special event, whether it be a huge gathering or a private ceremony in the most intimate of settings. This isolated paradise is the perfect setting for weddings, vow renewals, and commitment ceremonies, as well as birthdays, anniversaries, and meetings and special events for organizations, groups, and businesses of all sizes. In the center of historic Old Town Key West, a magnificently secluded setting awaits you. The Garden can accommodate up to 120 people for a seated dinner and 300 people for a cocktail reception. Located behind Key West's oldest house–which dates back to 1829–is our enormous historic garden with lawn, brick walks, gazebo, clean contemporary toilets, and spectacular natural tropical vegetation, all of which contribute to the overall atmosphere of the venue.
