Old State North Club

Old North State Club is a private lakeside country club set on a peninsula along Badin Lake in New London, North Carolina, positioned between Charlotte and Greensboro at the edge of Uwharrie National Forest. Founded in 1991 with a Tom Fazio–designed championship golf course, the club hosts weddings, corporate retreats, and private celebrations for both members and non-members. Private events take shape across several distinct settings: an outdoor pavilion suited to ceremonies, a spacious terrace patio for cocktail hours, and an open-concept main dining room with sweeping views of Badin Lake. A sun porch adjoins the dining room for quieter conversation during festivities, and a rustic bar with a native stone fireplace rounds out the indoor gathering spaces. The club's Executive Chef provides customized catering — plated courses or buffet-style — and the property's lakeside lodge offers eight waterfront rooms for destination-event guests.
