One World Theatre

One World Theatre is a nonprofit performing arts venue set in the hills west of Austin, about 15 minutes from downtown. Founded by percussionist Hartt Stearns and vocalist Nada Stearns, the nonprofit incorporated in 1997 and the theatre opened in July 1999 in a building constructed with recycled Styrofoam and straw-bale offices. For over 16 years, One World Theatre has been a venue choice for weddings and corporate events in the Texas Hill Country, offering a cathedral-like Performance Theatre, an elegant indoor Wedding Celebration Hall, and a tented outdoor Grand Piazza. The venue also features a private rooftop deck, sunset decks, and Austin Hill Country views. Event spaces come with sprung wood dance floors, superb acoustics, artisan-crafted detailing, a private suite with two dressing rooms, and a full TABC-licensed bar. One World Theatre was voted Austin's Best Wedding Venue by Austin360.com. Beyond hosting private events, One World Theatre operates as a nonprofit arts-in-education organization, presenting concerts, dance, and theater performances while offering multicultural outreach programming for Austin-area schoolchildren.
