Orca Island Cabins

Orca Island Cabins is a remote, private-island retreat situated nine miles from Seward, Alaska, in Humpy Cove on Resurrection Bay. Guests reach the property via a one-hour ride aboard the Orca Islander, a 15-passenger cabin cruiser that departs Seward Small Boat Harbor. The island is accessible only by water, placing it in the heart of southcentral Alaska's coastal wilderness. The property features eight private waterfront yurts, each positioned at the water's edge with a private deck and ocean views. Each yurt includes a queen bed, full futon, private ensuite bathroom with hot shower, four-burner stove and oven, and a propane wood stove — designed for self-sufficient stays without WiFi or television. Complimentary use of sea kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, rowboats, fishing gear, and snorkeling equipment is included for all guests. Orca Island Cabins hosts micro weddings, corporate retreats, and wellness retreats, offering a rare setting where Resurrection Bay wildlife — humpback whales, orcas, harbor seals, and bald eagles — provides the backdrop. The venue operates seasonally from May through September.
