Ovens Auditorium

Ovens Auditorium is Charlotte's largest performing arts theater, part of the Bojangles Entertainment Complex on East Independence Boulevard. Named in honor of David Ovens, a civic leader central to the complex's founding, the venue has hosted concerts, Broadway productions, comedy shows, family events, and symphony performances since 1955 — and is consistently recognized on Pollstar's Top 200 Theatre Venues Worldwide list. The main house seats 2,447 guests across orchestra, mezzanine, and balcony levels. For private gatherings, the auditorium offers dedicated event spaces with in-house food, beverage, and catering. The Hospitality Room accommodates up to 150 guests for receptions or 80 for a seated dinner. Ovens Auditorium is owned by the City of Charlotte and managed by the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority.
