Palihouse Santa Monica

Established with the conviction that neighborhoods, unique experiences and inspiring places are integral to a life well-traveled, the Palihouse brand has been designed so savvy guests can explore the people and places they visit ‘authentically’ – with style, sophistication and individuality. At Palihouse Santa Monica, discriminating tastemakers and world travelers are empowered to experience the heartfelt expressions of residential-style dwelling when visiting coastal Southern California without having to compromise on location, style, amenities or service. In continuous operation since 1927, Palihouse Santa Monica (formerly The Embassy Hotel Apartments) is an outstanding example of Moorish-influenced Mediterranean Revival Architecture. The hotel dates back to a time when Santa Monica was the last Los Angeles rail stop and travelers from all over the world came for seaside vacations all year round. The building has been meticulously maintained and remains renowned for its elegant exterior ornamentation, lush courtyards and gracious lobby. In 2001, the property was designated a Santa Monica Historic Landmark and in this spirit, we’ve retailored this one-of-a-kind urban lodge to conjure up the ideal pied-a-terre you’ve always imagined. Palihouse Santa Monica takes to heart that few things in life are as transformative as the people and places you encounter when you travel. Because when all is said and done, it’s about the experience. Not a boutique hotel and not a luxury residence, Palihouse offers the best of both.
