Paulucci Space Theatre

The Paulucci Space Theatre is a full-dome planetarium located on the Hibbing campus of Minnesota North College. Originally opened in 1980 with support from its namesake, Jeno Paulucci, and fully remodeled in 2020, the theatre features a 40-foot-diameter dome screen, a 4K digital full-dome projector, an upgraded sound system, and the original Spitz star projector that has been in operation since the theatre's founding. The facility is available for private event rentals, welcoming birthday parties, fundraisers, corporate gatherings, and other group events. Individual rentals begin at $100 for two hours — $30 for each additional hour — while business rentals are available at $150 per hour with a two-hour minimum. Renters have access to the redesigned lobby for light refreshments and the dome theatre for full-dome shows, OpenSpace universe tours, night sky presentations, or standard digital media playback.
