Plaza Juarez at La Villita

Plaza Juarez is a tree-shaded outdoor plaza in La Villita, San Antonio's first neighborhood and a historic arts village on the south bank of the San Antonio River. The village traces its origins to informal 18th-century settlements near Mission San Antonio de Valero and was restored beginning in 1939 under an ordinance dedicated to promoting Pan-American unity, giving the surrounding streets their present-day character of preserved adobe and limestone buildings, artisan shops, and courtyards. A medium-size venue, Plaza Juarez accommodates up to 500 guests for a reception or 300 for a seated dinner. The plaza has its own concession area and a built-in stage, making it suited to corporate events, private parties, and receptions with dinner and dancing. Reservations for the space are handled through La Villita's event reservations office.
