Port Land Grille is a progressive American restaurant located in Lumina Station, Wilmington, North Carolina, opened in November 2000 by Chef Shawn Wellersdick and floor and wine manager Anne Steketee. The name traces to a formative trip to Portland, Oregon, where the team observed how chefs built menus around regionally sourced ingredients — a philosophy they brought back to the Port City, drawing from both local waters and land while maintaining access to premium products nationwide. The main dining room seats 85 to 100 guests, with pale green walls hung with black-and-white historical photos of Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach, and large windows opening onto a landscaped patio with a fountain and live oak trees. The restaurant has earned the DiRoNA Award and consecutive Wine Spectator Awards of Excellence since 2000. For private events, Port Land Grille offers three dedicated spaces: the Airlie Room for gatherings of up to 24, the Parkway Room for up to 60, and the Fountainside Patio and Deck — an open-air outdoor space with a gas fire pit overlooking Lumina Station's pond — for up to 100 guests. Full-restaurant buyouts accommodate up to 150 guests for weddings, corporate events, and large celebrations.
