Prohibition

Prohibition occupies the entire 27th floor of the Foshay Tower in downtown Minneapolis, one of the city's most recognizable landmarks. Nearly a century ago, building owner Wilbur Foshay commissioned the space as his private full-floor retreat; today, following a multi-million-dollar restoration completed in 2025, it operates as a speakeasy-inspired lounge featuring Art Deco design, custom African mahogany paneling, and hidden alcoves. Panoramic 360-degree views of the Twin Cities skyline frame every event. The venue accommodates private gatherings in configurations ranging from intimate room buyouts for up to 50 guests to a full-floor buyout for up to 125. Personalized planning assistance, customized cocktails, bottle service, chef-created menus, butler-passed appetizers, and dedicated cocktail servers are available for all private events. Valet parking is offered at the Marquette Avenue entrance.
