Raleigh Little Theatre & Rose Garden

Raleigh Little Theatre occupies a WPA landmark campus at 301 Pogue Street in Raleigh, North Carolina, offering a range of indoor and outdoor spaces for private events and celebrations. The campus has served the community since the late 1930s and brings together an open-air amphitheatre, two intimate indoor theaters, and the acclaimed Raleigh Rose Garden. The Rose Garden — dedicated in 1951 and one of only three accredited rose gardens in North Carolina — is listed as a Unique Venue with the City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department. Its sixty rose beds, fountain, arbor, and stone shelter create a naturally scenic setting for ceremonies and small gatherings, with blooms typically running from Mother's Day through mid-November. For larger events, the outdoor Louise "Scottie" Stephenson Amphitheatre accommodates up to 2,000 guests, while the indoor Cantey V. Sutton Theatre seats up to 298. The Gaddy-Goodwin Teaching Theatre, a flexible black box space, hosts up to 150. Weekend availability across all spaces is limited by the theatre's active production schedule; weekday and off-hours bookings are more readily available through the venue's Special Event Coordinator.
