Ravenwood Castle

Ravenwood Castle is a medieval-themed destination resort nestled in the wooded Hocking Hills region of Ohio. Modeled after fortifications built along the England-Wales border during the 12th and 13th centuries, the castle was constructed in 1994 and 1995 by founders Sue and Jim Maxwell, who drew on their travels through the British Isles to shape the property's character. Jim and Pam Reed acquired it in June 2012, preserving the original vision while bringing their own touches to the guest experience. The property encompasses 21 guest rooms across the castle, a medieval village, and Huntsman's Hollow, and can be reserved exclusively for private celebrations. Weddings are hosted in the Drawing Room for intimate gatherings of up to 20 guests, in the Great Hall, or at outdoor locations on the grounds, with packages accommodating groups of up to 50. The castle also hosts corporate retreats, murder mystery experiences, and gaming conventions throughout the year.
