Ridgway State Park

Ridgway State Park occupies 3,301 acres in the Uncompahgre River Valley at the foot of the San Juan Mountains in southwestern Colorado, about four miles north of the town of Ridgway. The park encompasses Ridgway Reservoir — a 1,000-acre surface water body set against a backdrop of the San Juan and Cimarron ranges — and spans nearly five miles of valley floor across three distinct areas: Dutch Charlie, Dallas Creek, and Pa-Co-Chu-Puk. The park offers several reservable event spaces suited to outdoor ceremonies and group gatherings. The Visitor Center Overlook frames the reservoir and mountain skyline and accommodates up to 100 guests for ceremonies year-round. The Pa-Co-Chu-Puk area, situated along the Uncompahgre River, provides two group shelters available from May through September — Shelter A for up to 150 guests and Shelter B for up to 100 — with picnic tables, BBQ grills, electric, and restroom access. The Eddy Group Campground at Pa-Co-Chu-Puk accommodates up to 120 guests overnight and includes a full kitchen, shade pavilion, and RV hookups. Ridgway State Park is accessible year-round. Reservations are made through the park office and require a state parks vehicle pass per vehicle for all guests.
