Rock of Ages Winery

Rock of Ages Winery & Vineyard sits on the Moore family estate in Hurdle Mills, North Carolina, where the land has a history of family farming stretching back generations. Owner Kevin Moore began planting grapes on the former tobacco property in 1999 after earning an Enology and Viticulture degree from Surry Community College; the winery opened in 2006 with Kim Moore as co-owner. The two-story winery building blends Old English, Italian, and Western lodge architectural influences, set against 26 acres of vineyards and a four-acre lake. The estate hosts private events including weddings, receptions, and corporate meetings, offering a scenic vineyard setting in southwestern Person County.
